May 24, 2024 – It was a winning weekend for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport as they tackled and conquered the 4.048-mile, 14-turn Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Bringing 15 drivers across three classes, the Texas-based team left The Dairy State with seven race wins, 17 podium results, and 23 top-five finishes.
Sweeping the top step of the podium in FR Americas, Patrick Woods-Toth raced his way to victory lane in the first wheel-to-wheel combat of the weekend, with Titus Sherlock taking top honors in races two and three. The win in race one was Woods-Toth’s weekend highlight as races two and three saw him take a hit in his championship points battle with 12th and 11th place finishes, while Sherlock added a second-place result in race one to his two victories. Last year’s FR Americas Vice-Champion Ryan Shehan endured a difficult start to the weekend, which resulted in an engine change, but rewarded the team for their efforts with a fourth-place result in race one and a pair of second-place finishes in races two and three.
Female driver Nicole Havrda had her best weekend behind the wheel of a Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JSF3, scoring a P5 finish in race one, and earned her first two career FR Americas podiums in races two and three with two third-place finishes. Landan Martiano Lim was consistently in the top-ten and finished fifth in race three, improving on his seventh and eighth-place results from races one and two, while Jett Bowling added a pair of sixth-place finishes. Ricco Shlaimoun put his Crosslink Kiwi machine inside the top-ten on a pair of occasions, as did Kevin Janzen, with Shlaimoun adding eighth and ninth-place results and Janzen’s ninth and tenth-place finishes. The FR Americas program yielded three wins and eight Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport podium results.
In the F4 U.S. Championship, there were another two wins for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport, this time at the hands of Nicolas Stati. With the debut of the new Ligier F4 chassis, Stati stood on the podium three times, winning race one and adding a pair of third-place results in races two and three to kickstart his season. Alex Crosbie finished seventh in his first two races of the season as race three saw the youngster cross the line in the fourth position, but a post-race penalty saw him fall down the order to be classified in sixth. Barrett Wolfe also added three consistent finishes in seventh, seventh, and sixth.
The weekend’s final five podium results for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport came from the JSF4 Championship with Brad Majman and Bacon Zelenka earning a pair each. Zelenka finished third in race one but came back strong in race two to stand on the podium’s top step and add a race win to his resume. Race three saw the youngster finish fifth. Majman earned a pair of runner-up results in races one and three but had heartbreak in race two classified in the 12th position. Kekai Hauanio steadily improved throughout the weekend, turning his seventh-place result in race one to a fourth-place finish in race two, before eventually standing on the podium’s top step in race three to add another win to his results in 2024. Demitri Nolan was another driver who steadily improved throughout the weekend, moving from ninth to eighth to seventh in his three wheel-to-wheel races.
“When you can have the success that we had, it makes all the hard work worth it,” explained Teena Larsen “Seven wins and 17 podiums is a feat in itself. Everyone at Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport is so proud of all our drivers.”
