CHARLOTTE (August 13, 2024) – A.J. Foyt Racing announced that David Malukas has signed a multi-year deal to join the team for the 2025 INDYCAR season, contending for next year’s championship and beyond. The Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) alum will benefit from the Chevrolet-powered team’s technical alliance with Team Penske.
After finishing the 2020 season as FR Americas’ Vice Champion, Malukas continued his ascent up the open-wheel ranks. Reaching INDYCAR by 2022, Malukas spent two seasons with Dale Coyne Racing before signing with Arrow McLaren for 2024. Sustaining a pre-season wrist injury, Malukas never got a chance to race with Arrow McLaren, but was able to capitalize on a mid-year opportunity to join Meyer Shank Racing and finish out the 2024 season. Qualifying inside the top 12 in four of his last five races, Malukas continues to impress in the INDYCAR paddock. His career-best INDYCAR finish is second, recorded twice, both times at World Wide Technology Raceway.
