ORLANDO, Fla. (October 23, 2024) – DRIVER ANNOUNCEMENT – Conor Grant is set to join Champagne Racing for the 2024 Ligier JS F4 Series season finale at Circuit of The Americas.
Born in the coastal county of Wexford in southern Ireland, Grant is a family man. His older sister, Tara, is one of his biggest supporters, and his parents, Nigel and Nuala, make up “Team Grant.” Working tirelessly to support their son’s career, Team Grant travels the world together, helping Conor navigate the demanding sport that he loves so passionately.
Grant’s love of speed started at an early age, racing up and down a windy Irish beach on his mini quad bike. It wasn’t until 2017 that he drove a professional race kart and his young life changed forever. Karting would go on to dominate the next seven years of his life, as he raced on the best kart tracks in Ireland, the UK and Europe.
One of Ireland’s best kart racing drivers, Grant won his first championship at the TKC National Junior in 2022, following a close-fought battle that came down to the very last round of the season. With 12 pole positions, nine race wins, and three new track records, he was crowned 2023 Motorsport Ireland Senior Champion.
In 2024, Grant competed solely on the European circuit in the IAME Euro Series and the IAME Benelux Championship, where he achieved multiple top-three group qualifications, fastest laps and personal bests. 2025 will see him make the very exciting move into single-seater open-wheel racing in the USA.
“It’s fantastic to add another up and coming driver to our program this season,” said Team Principal Victor Rubin. “Conor has had great success in Europe and is more than capable of making a very successful transition into single seater racing in the U.S. The team is really looking forward to seeing what he can do at this year’s finale at COTA. “
Following a test this weekend at Atlanta Motorsports Park to prepare for the event, Grant will drive the No. 10 Back of House / Wexford Motor Club / Buddy Ligier JS F4 car for Champagne Racing during the JS F4 Series’ season finale at Circuit of The Americas.
