AVONDALE, La. (April 12, 2024) – Drivers in the Ligier JS F4 Series (Ligier JS F4) had two practice sessions on Thursday to get ready for the NOLA SpeedTour season opener at NOLA Motorsports Park. Maite Cáceres (No. 6 Abitab/Supermatch Ligier JS F4) returned to the Parella Motorsports Holdings (PMH) open-wheel ladder after running in F1 Academy last year and immediately jumped to the top of the Ligier JS F4 leaderboard. Named one of the PMH Powering Diversity Scholarship recipients in 2024, Cáceres returns to the PMH family after competing in F4 U.S. during the 2022 season.
In the first practice, Cáceres led Bacon Zelenka (No. 45 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4) and Kekai Hauanio(No. 29 N.E.Where Transportation / New’T Racing Ligier JS F4), who both return to the cockpit of a Ligier JS F4 car for a second season. Australian Daniel Quimby (No. 24 Cruise America/MIR Raceline/FIJI Airways/GalvanizeIns Ligier JS F4) was fourth quick, with Christopher Parrish (No. 83 Save22 Ligier JS F4) rounding out the top five.

In Practice 2, Cáceres led Pablo Benites Jr. (No. 44 Scuderia Buell Ligier JS F4) and Zelenka. Hauanio was fourth quick, with Teddy Musella (No. 25 Scuderia Buell Ligier JS F4) rounding out the top five.

Ligier JS F4 hits the track tomorrow for Qualifying and Races 1 and 2. Qualifying kicks off at 8 a.m. CT, with lights out for Race 1 scheduled at 11:25 a.m. CT and Race 2 at 5:05 p.m. CT. Tickets for the weekend are available on SpeedTour.net/NOLA. Kids ages 12 and under, as well as active-duty military, police and fire with a valid military or work ID, are admitted free. Fans can meet the drivers of Ligier JS F4 and FR Americas during an autograph session in the NOLA Events Center at 1:45 p.m. CT.
