Zach Fourie Continues Preparation for 2025 JS F4 Season

January 26, 2025 – After a short off-season, Zach Fourie is eager to pilot the No. 1 JENSEN F4 race car for a week of testing and racing at Buttonwillow Raceway, which is a road course located an hour north of Los Angeles.

Fourie made his professional racing debut competing in the Ligier JS F4 Series season finale at the Austin F1 circuit in November 2024, and is set to return to the series for a full-time campaign in 2025. While naturally quick, the 16-year-old driver will benefit substantially from his extensive winter development program in advance of the season opener at NOLA Motorsports Park in March.

Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Fourie currently lives in Rabat, Morocco located on the northwestern tip of the African continent. While the long travel distance is a challenge, the many successes of Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) and Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) drivers graduating to race in the top-level INDYCAR Series makes Fourie’s American development path a wise decision.

JENSEN team owner and driver coach Eric Jensen said, “It was clear from my first day working with Zach that he is an extremely gifted race car driver. It’s a treat to have the opportunity to help Zach at such a critical moment in his development as he chases his dream to become a professional race car driver.”

Ligier JS F4 Series is an entry-level American junior open-wheel race series, ideal for the development of promising young race car drivers from around the world. The 2025 championship comprises six race events at circuits across the United States with the season opener at NOLA Motorsports Park located in New Orleans in late March.

As part of Fourie’s pre-season development program, he will make four race starts driving the No. 1 JENSEN F4 car. Starting this weekend, Fourie is competing in two races at Buttonwillow Raceway for the SCCA Majors event, and will later return to California for two additional races at Sonoma Raceway with Formula Pro USA.
